Thaïs Frisé (b. 2000*, Lille, France) is a multidisciplinary artist and aspiring art director, currently pursuing a BA in graphic design. Raised in the French Alps, her creative practice has been shaped by close contact with nature and the rich folkloric traditions of the mountains and countryside. This environment nurtured a deep sensitivity and a poetic relationship to the world, which continues to inform her visual language.
A lifelong cultural awareness was cultivated by her grandmother, who introduced her to the arts through annual visits to museums and cultural festivals. On her paternal side, she inherits Guadeloupean lineage, while her maternal great-grandmother brings Italian ancestry into the mix—cultural threads that contribute to the layered identity present in her work. Early exposure to intergenerational narratives of war and migration further deepened her connection to collective and ancestral memory.
In parallel with her artistic development, Thaïs has become actively engaged in various social and political causes. Her practice exists at the intersection of personal narrative, cultural hybridity, and activism. With a broad curiosity and an interest in multiple creative fields, she envisions a career spanning visual storytelling, design, performance, and beyond.
